  • What is pediatric physical therapy?
Physical therapy helps people improve their strength, ability to move and function. Our physical therapists help children and teens recover from temporary problems, such as sports injuries. We also work with patients who have long-lasting conditions, including those that affect gross motor skills such as walking, running and playing. Physical therapists are movement experts. They improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement and activities.
  • Does my child need physical therapy?
There is no harm in reaching out if you have a concern about your child's movement or functioning. We can help you determine if care is needed. We are not here to sign your kiddo up for weekly visits for the rest of the year. Rather, we want you to feel like you have the tools to address your concerns and will help design a program that will work for you and your child.
  • My child plays a sport at a high level, can physical therapy help?
Yes! Whether your kiddo is dealing with sports injuries or would like to avoid injuries as they move up in their sport, pediatric sports physical therapy can help. As PT's, we are uniquely educated to understand total body mechanics, exercise prescription and physiologic factors to determine the best course of action for your child.
